About this site

Jay Coss is a musician and crafts person who works and resides at the Whangarei Quarry Arts Centre.


Jay creates cigar box guitars from recycled timber. Each hand made cigar box guitar features a hand crafted cedar box. He enjoys ulitilizing various hardwoods for the necks and etches an inlaid design.


Feel free to drop in and visit his workshop here at the Quarry Arts Center anytime and have a  play with one of his Cigar box guitars.

Jay plays live at the Old Library Thursday December 15th 7:30


He also plays Live at Blues, Bikes and BBQ event held at takapuna military base Auckland. The event is held by the Guitar association of New Zealand


Jay played at the Lions Club Garden Art Ramble on November 28th.
